This 424-bed, Level I Trauma & Stroke Center has been recognized as one of the leading hospitals in Queens New York, proudly serving their diverse community healthcare -needs. - -Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the successful candidate will: -

• provide exceptional nutrition care to patients inpatient units;
• be part of the eight inpatient RD team and work rotating weekends and holidays providing full hospital coverage;
• be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process;
• be well versed in the Nutrition Focused Physical Exam and Malnutrition Identification; and
• efficiently and effectively organize clinical nutrition and patient care responsibilities. - - -Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:
  • Registered Dietitian credential, or who are RD-eligible;

Qualifications & Requirements: Basic Education Requirement:Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) -For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) - -Credentials Requirement:Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. - In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
